Departing from Queenstown or Te Anau, you’ll encounter spectacular scenery from the get-go as we journey overland by coach.
Sit back and relax, enjoy informative commentary and soak up the awe-inspiring views of sheer mountains and towering cliffs, rugged valleys and native rain forest, surrounded by cascading waterfalls and glacial lakes. Our experienced, local coach driver will show you the best short walks and photo stops on the Milford Road, and will connect you seamlessly with our Milford Sound Nature or Scenic Cruise.

See your own COUNTRY first
We travelled from Queenstown to Milford Sound VIA TE ANAU and once we left TE ANAU the scenery became just spectacular as we headed towards Milford Sound. Having a glass roof was amazing as you just looked up to the mountains towering above you on both sides of the road. And the Homer tunnel was just as they had made it all those years ago carved out of solid rock not like tunnels today. Milford Sound was amazing as we had a beatiful day and we still got to see the spectacular waterfalls it is known for. Definitely recommend this excursion

Amazing experience
I would highly recommend this adventure. Was a highlight for us both. The bus trip was so informative and full of laughter. The boat trip blew our minds, the staff, the kai and the views were breathtaking.

Great day out
Our driver Greig was great! Very knowledgeable of the route and photo opportunities. Very professional and a great driver despite the sound system not working for commentary.

Fantastic experience!
This was worth every penny! Beautiful picturesque scenery - no camera can capture the beauty IMO. Stan, our tour guide was an amazing host, so friendly and knowledgeable on the area. The boat cruise was just as good with stunning views. Saw a couple of seals and a dolphin! Food was delicious and what you’d expect from a buffet. It was ready as soon as we got on the boat, perfect after a 5 hour drive. Definitely a must do at least once!

Excellent, truly an 8th wonder of the world
Milford Sound is gorgeous, a wonder you gotta visit. We booked the Milford Sound Cruise + Buffet lunch tour departing from QT. We had the pleasure of visiting multiple pit-stops along the way, admiring the beauty of NZ. We were in the good hands of our driver/guide from Southern Discoveries as he shared nuggets of history of each spot. We were so lucky with the weather, the views and our guide! Buffet lunch spread was alright. The highlights were our tour guide and Milford Sound.
