An amazing day at Milford Sound with RealNZ. The tour guide, Deanne, was simply amazing: friendly, approachable, knowledgeable, patient, and professional.
The pick up was delayed. The bus driver cum guide, Angela was great both with her driving and knowledge. It hadn't rained in the area for a week I think, so not many waterfalls to see in the fjord. But the uncomfortable part was when the blazing sun and all-glass bus turned it into a green-house in the afternoon. The AC on full blast couldn't bring it below 30 deg. I suggest inclusion of drawable curtains in the bus.
I have been on a trip to Milford sound 4 times and in all season. So far this is the best season to go. One thing though is because of the weather we haven't stopped at the national park and the mirror lake which I have done in the past. For a bus of 40ish people I would say that 223NZD is a good deal. Though in the past it was 160-190NZD for other companies with 11-13 people in a coach. I can say that this trip was the most expensive I have ever done. Also inside the bus, i understand it is first come first serve but for a group of people getting onboard it's a pain for not be able to seat together just because others already got into your previous seat.
Milford Sound was amazing! The bus was quite hot as the aircon wasn’t working properly, especially with the glass roof, which put a bit of a damper on the trip.

Amazing trip
It was really amazing trip. The bus left right on time and provided very clear instructions and trip plan. Bus was very nice with Glass roof for uninterrupted views. Bus has also adequate stops for taking photos and toilet breaks. It was best decision to take the bus as you can be relaxed, take nap, hear commentary from the driver about the history (which was the best part) and enjoy the view without hassle of driving for 5-6 hrs (both ways).
