Come and kayak at Goat Island Marine Reserve! The glasslike kayaks allow you to experience seeing the marine life without getting into the water.

Get up close with marine life beneath you in the 100% transparent kayak at Motu Hāwere ā Maki (Goat Island) Marine.

This is an activity that is fun for the whole family, with our youngest kayaker being 3 and our oldest so far 76!

Restrictions

  • Minimum age: 3

  • Each kayak can hold 200kgs; the maximum is 110kg for 1 person.

    ALL people in the kayak must be able to swim 20 metres unaided.

Child Friendly

  • This experience welcomes families with children.

Bad Weather Refunds

  • If your experience is cancelled by the operator (because of the weather or anything else out of your control) you will be entitled to a full refund.

Notes

  • 1 kayak seats 2 people. Price is per double kayak for 2 people.

  • Please note: You will need to fill out a waiver when you reach the beach.

    Operations are always weather dependent and can be cancelled at short notice.Please ensure you check your emails (including spam / junk) as well as Clearyaks website the morning before travelling. Link will be included in the confirmation email.
