Get up close with marine life beneath you in the 100% transparent kayak at Motu Hāwere ā Maki (Goat Island) Marine.

Restrictions

Minimum age: 3
Each kayak can hold 200kgs; the maximum is 110kg for 1 person.
ALL people in the kayak must be able to swim 20 metres unaided.

This experience welcomes families with children.

1 kayak seats 2 people. Price is per double kayak for 2 people.
Please note:You will need to fill out a waiver when you reach the beach.
1 person on each kayak booked can swim 20m unaided. Please let the operator know if anyone in your group is a beginner swimmer or has any medical conditions that could worsen when kayaking
Operations are always weather dependent and can be cancelled at short notice.Please ensure you check your emails (including spam / junk) as well as Clearyaks website the morning before travelling. Link will be included in the confirmation email.

Full Price Bookings:Cancellations made by you, the customer, will;
Receive a 100% refund for any cancellations outside of 14 days from departure
Will receive a 80% refund for any cancellation between 2 and 14 days from departure
Will receive no refund for any cancellation within 48 hours or same day cancellation / no-shows.

Great experience

Kayaks were heaps of fun. Gorgeous spot for kayaking. Didn't see a heap of fish due to conditions, but highly recommend either way.

The staff were friendly. Unfortunately, the day we visited was overcast and cloudy, and we weren’t able to see any fish—either through the glass boat or from the sides. This wasn’t the fault of the team; it just happened to be one of those days. I’m not sure the $150 for a one-hour session is justifiable, especially with an additional $9 charge for a wet bag for your cellphone. Most other places provide these bags free of charge as a courtesy. That said, it was still nice to paddle around for an hour. I wouldn’t call it amazing, but it was okay.
