At boarding, there was a clear lack of professionalism from the staff managing the queue. Passengers who were behind us were allowed to move ahead, being labeled as “VIP,” without any explanation, apology, or even basic courtesy toward those of us who had been waiting patiently for the past one hour. There was no acknowledgment of the inconvenience caused, which felt dismissive and disrespectful.
We were traveling with two young children and three seniors, which made the situation even more frustrating. Despite this, there was no effort made to assist or accommodate us, nor any sign of empathy from the staff member involved.
It’s unfortunate because the cruise itself was good—the boat was well maintained, and the scenery was, of course, stunning. However, when an experience begins on such a negative note, it impacts the overall impression and diminishes what could have been a memorable outing.
A little professionalism, fairness, and basic courtesy would go a long way in improving the experience for future guests.
