Mud Run was excellent

Thank you Mud Run! They came back for us after we mistakenly thought it was a hotel pickup. We were still able to do Waimangu Valley as scheduled. Nice chat with the driver. Overall very good.

Excellent, friendly

This was an amazing journey!! We were picked up from our accommodation in the morning and taken to the iSite we wanted to visit in the afternoon. Along the way, the driver introduced us to the surrounding forests and villages. He was incredibly friendly and kept checking to make sure we were enjoying the trip. When he took a little time to confirm that other guests' itineraries had gone wrong, he worried that I might be upset, but that wasn't the case at all. I saw his enthusiasm and friendliness in trying his best to help his guests. Similarly, the scenery was breathtaking; the park is like another world!

We are glad you enjoyed your morning Nga mihi

Lovely but could be better

Slim and partner/wife were wonderful, shuttle pick up was smooth and everything was clear. The walk was lovely, self guided tour was good enough and the views were worth the visit. The shuttle gave us under 3 hours to visit which meant we could not go on the boat tour and could not really sit and enjoy parts as much as we would have liked. Therefore for the price I don’t think it was good value. There should have been an option to leave later and unsure why this is not possible for the shuttle experience.

I’m sorry to hear you felt the experience didn’t provide good value for money. When considering the standard entry fee of $75. and the discounted price you paid, our time and operating costs were very minimal. Through experience and customer feedback, we’ve found that morning trips are the most popular option. Our schedule is consistent each day: drop-off at 9:40am and pick-up at 1:00pm, which most guests find offers ample time to enjoy the experience. We’re sorry that the destination didn’t meet your expectations in the way we had hoped. We truly believe it’s a special place and regret that you didn’t see it as we do. We hope you’ve been able to discover other parts of our beautiful country that better matched what you were looking for.

Waiotapu and Waimangu

I did both trips with Karen. She is kind, humorous and knowledgeable guide. I enjoyed listening to her and interacting with her. Nature in both places was stunning.
