The flight from Queenstown over the Southern Alps opens up endless panoramic views of a landscape forged by the greatest forces of nature, left unchanged by man.

Take it all in; rugged ridge-lines, snow-capped peaks, waterfalls cascading to lush valley floors covered with ancient forests, and divided by crystal clear streams.

On arrival in Milford Sound you will set off onboard a comfortable cruise vessel to begin an up-close exploration of the fiord from sea level.

Jagged cliffs, and hanging rainforest rises sharply up to snowy peaks hundreds of meters above you.

Expect to see seals and occasionally dolphins and penguins as you pass close to magnificent waterfalls and sheer granite cliffs, while your skipper provides you with a detailed and entertaining commentary of the region and its history.

Queenstown 9300. A courtesy transport from Queenstown Central Hotels can be provided if necessary. Plenty of free parking is available in front of the our building.

Restrictions

If any passenger is 100kg (220 lb) or more, please contact us directly before booking. If your weight at check-in exceeds your declared weight, this may exceed the aircrafts weight and balance limits, and your booking may need to be rescheduled depending on availability.

Bad Weather Refunds

If your experience is cancelled by the operator (because of the bad weather, safety concerns, unscheduled maintenance etc) you will be entitled to a full refund.

1. Departures can be weather dependent, where a flight is unable to depart due to weather you will be offered a reschedule or full refund.
2. Flights Guaranteed confirmed with 2 passengers or more.
3. Discount fares are transferable at True South Flights discretion. Cancellations by the operator due to weather will be fully refunded. If your travel plans change or you are unable to fly with us as planned please contact us promptly and let us know. Cancellations made within 24 hours prior to your reserved flight incur a 50% cancellation fee and in the case of a "no show" we will charge you the full cost of the flight. True South Flights reserves the right to apply discretion in exceptional circumstances.

Amazing experience

We really enjoyed this experience. There is no better way to enjoy & see the view from the air, and then have a lovely Milford sound cruise. The bumps at the flight were a little scary but this is part of the flight journey- so be prepared. We would have loved to have proper hot food/ catering available as lunch options in the cruise. The other Milford cruise we did at our previous trip had this option.

Great Experience

It was a very unique experience. Fly in and out brought my parents scenes that they wouldn't have seen from the ground by car and made it a lot easier for their age. Would definitely recommend. And the pies on the cruise ship were amazing!

We had an amazing fly cruise fly experience with True South Flights. Thankfully we had an ok to fly when we phoned at 9.30am which was a relief after waiting for this once in a lifetime trip. Tanmay our pilot was amazing providing a very safe and enjoyable flight in and out of Milford Sound. Also thanks to Belinda who we met in the office the day before
