Wairakei Terraces - Thermal Hot Pools
We were recommended to visit these through the gentleman we had our campervan through and it really was the most brilliant experience ever coupled with the fact that you didn’t come out smelling of sulphur. There are four pools each offering different heat and it really is the most relaxing experience you could want coupled with a knowledge that all the minerals are benefiting your body. You just feel incredible and so relaxed when you come out.

A must do without the kids when in Taupo
This is a wonderful hot pool in Taupo. It isn’t fancy and it doesn’t allow children. You can’t get much better than this. And the price is very reasonable.
