    Please Note - License Requirements:

    For Australian & NZ Drivers: Red & Green P-Plates are fine, however additional fees apply.

    For International Drivers: It is a legal requirement in New Zealand that anyone using an international licence/translation must also be carrying their original licence. Some customers may require a translated version of their International Drivers License.


  • Please Note: Campers are available in both Automatic and Manual. Please select your preferred camper on check-out. Please note Autos are not always available so the operator will confirm this with you directly after booking.

So good for the price but expect the bare bones. No curtains and no bedding/soft furnishings: but great for budget travel

A Wicked rental

Apart from the pick up location changing to the other side of Christchurch 24 hours prior to rental commencement, I had no other issues. This is a budget rental, so don't expect bells and whistles - what you do get is a functional older style van which drives nicely, has space enough to stow your gear and a comfy mattress. Bring your own bedding and don't expect curtains. What you do get is a powerful little stove with enough utensils to produce a decent meal at a very affordable price. Wouldn't hesitate to use Wicked Camper Van Rentals again.
