Discover natural wonders, iconic hotspots and historic locations like a local on an epic small group tour of Bay of Island's & Kerikeri!
To start the day, enjoy a 30 minute guided tour in Opua Kauri Forest, offering a sneak peek into how Northland looked 150 years ago, with its magnificent span of 15,000 hectares and rich ecological diversity, before travelling to the amazing Kawiti Glowworm caves.
You'll be in awe as you explore the fascinating underground caverns dotted by beautiful Glow worms while being enthralled by interesting commentary from a member of the local Iwi (Maori Tribe), about how the caves came to be found.
We next visit the world-famous "Hundertwasser Toilets", an iconic landmark created using recycled materials from the local community and internationally recognized as a work of art designed by Austrian artist Friedensreich Hundertwasser.
Next up whet your appetite as you sample delicious home-made chocolates at Makana Chocolate Factory and visit the Kauri Workshop. If you're feeling peckish, you can purchase lunch at the coffee shop before we head to Kerikeri Mission Station, home to New Zealand's oldest building and "The Stone Store" which was originally used as a Missionary Society warehouse.
On our final leg of the journey, we finish with a visit to the majestic Haruru Falls before stopping at Waitangi look-out loop where you can soak up stunning views over Waitangi, Russell and the Bay of Islands.
