Bay of Islands Winter Eco Expedition - Albatross.V Expeditions
Join us for an unforgettable winter eco expedition around the spectacular Bay of Islands!
Departing the picturesque township of Russell, we’ll board the Albatross V, a spacious, classic kauri tugboat for a breathtaking exploration of New Zealand’s most treasured marine destination.
Along the way we’ll encounter gannets diving, penguins, bird life, and occasionally the odd whale - so don’t forget your camera!
We may even get a chance to greet the local dolphins!
Our passionate and experienced crew will share their knowledge of this magical destination with an informative an entertaining commentary.
We’ll head out for a guided walk on one of the beautiful Islands (and hopefully get up close and personal with some of the inhabitants!)
The friendly crew are always near to ensure you have a safe, enjoyable, relaxed experience.

Regular passenger ferry services on the Bay Belle ferry service operated by Great Sights Bay of Islands. Ferry crossings take approximately 15 minutes. Transfer tickets and information will be sent to you by the operator once they have received your booking.
