The ultimate -e-bike on a rail trail

After the severe weather in Northland, we were nervous about this - but we needn't have worried. We had a great trip, taking about an hour to trundle along the rail tracks through flooded farmland and past the river. At the far end, out three hosts (who looked after us really well) provided tea, coffee and scones. Then back on the cart, for a slow trundle back. We thoroughly recommend it!

Must do while in Northland

We were lucky we had a great day for this weather wise. We took approximately an hour to reach our destination crossing a couple of bridges and seeing the beautiful Wairoa river, farmland and history you do not see when driving by road. We stopped for coffee and a scone and then slowly headed back. A great two and a half hours.

Such a shame

I booked on book me and it said there were 12 places left. The booking accepted my payment and I received a confirmation booking. Later that day I received an email from the operator saying they were fully booked. We had originally book this day as the weather was due to be fine. We were offered the following day but it was raining heavily.

Absolute must.... Local gem of fun

This experience is an absolute delight. Guides are friendly, informative and obviously passionate about this. Even the teenager put her phone away! A must do for everyone.... We'll be back for the longer trip.
