Fly in the footsteps of legends like Sir Edmund Hillary & Sir Henry Wigley, the first on board with Mt Cook Ski Planes on September 22nd 1955, on the first-ever Ski Plane, flying up the incredible Tasman Valley and landing on the Tasman Glacier.
Now, you have the chance to experience this Historic and world-exclusive scenic flight, the Ultimate Alpine Combo, which allows you to fly in BOTH a Helicopter and a Ski Plane in one unforgettable product! You can't do anything like this anywhere else in the world.
Taking off, you will enjoy our country’s most incredible views as you soar your way up the Tasman Valley and over the breathtaking blue glacier lakes below. See the Hochstetter Icefall and the cloud-piercing Aoraki/Mt Cook before experiencing the highlight of your journey as you land on the upper snowfields of the Tasman Glacier. Underwhelming trip
It was very underwhelming to be honest for the price. The return flight was quite bumpy made us nauseous. The time on snow pleasant but in all felt the experience was super expensive and didn’t leave a lasting memory for us.
