Home to the World’s First Bungy jump, the Kawarau Bridge Bungy takes you back to where it all began. Confront the original leap 43m high, where you can go solo or in a pair. For that extra rush, try a dunk in the mighty Kawarau river.

Self-drive to the Kawarau Bungy Centre or contact Bungy crew to add on free transport from downtown Queenstown.

Allow 2.5 hours for the whole experience

Location

The Kawarau Bungy Centre is located on SH6 in the Gibbston Valley, 20 minutes drive from Queenstown or 30 minutes drive from Cromwell.

Restrictions

Minimum age 10 years (children 14 years and under need to be accompanied by an adult).
No upper age limit - it depends on the health and fitness of the individual.
Weight: Min 35kg - Max 235kg (78-518lbs).

Bad Weather Refunds

If your experience is cancelled by the operator (because of the bad weather, safety concerns, unscheduled maintenance etc) you will be entitled to a full refund.

Notes

Spectators: FREE admission to the Kawarau Bungy Centre - Spectators are welcome!
Tandem Jumps: Total Weight difference must NOT be more than 30kgs, and requires river levels to be low or normal.
Optional Extras: It would be a shame to complete one of the best experiences of your life without having proof to tell the tale. Every one of our sites and experiences is unique, and we have different camera installations tailored for them all. Prices start from $50.
Free Transport:Available on 10.40am departure only. Bus departs daily at 10.40am.
Check-In: Check in is 15 minutes prior on-site and 30 minutes prior with transport.
Cancellation Policy: Cancellation more than 48 hours in advance = 100% refund Cancellation less than less than 48 hours in advance = Non-refundable If you fail to arrive for your scheduled book time your booking will be non-refundable. Changes outside of 48 hours FEE FREE, changes within 48 hours $50 change fee.Bookme's own terms and conditions still apply.

Thrilling

It is a excellent and thrilling experience which is worth every bit of your money and time. The ambience of the place took me off guard, the way the place is set out is just so futuristic. The people who are work there are so nice and friendly. The jump, is done so quickly you wont have time to be nervous, they make you feel so comfortable and safer than ever. I thought this would be just be a jump until I got to the platform. I wont say anything about the jump as it’s an experience you cant describe, and is better experienced. Overall its 5/5 and you should 100% experience if your in Queenstown.
