This is epic canyon country. You are about to embark on an adrenalin-packed expedition to jump, swim, zip-line, abseil, float, slide and scramble down the Routeburn Canyon.
Your day begins with a scenic drive along the shores of Lake Wakatipu to Glenorchy, and Mount Aspiring National Park's Routeburn Valley. After a 25 minute hike through spectacular native rain forest, it is time for the serious adventure and excitement to begin as you start your descent canyoning through a natural water park and playground!
This canyon is suited for people with a high level of fitness and water confidence. The minimum age is 15, and children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
Departures: 9:00am Daily.

Best part of my trip
The best value for money of any thing I’ve done in QT. Zip lining, swimming, cliff jumping and rock climbing all in one amazing trip down the canyon.

Great Experience
The whole trip was well organized! We had two very good guides who did a great Job. At the day we did the Routeburn Explorer the water was very cold, but with the Equipment we didn't freeze much. The Canyon itself was great, we were in the middle of untouched nature. It was possible to spare the higher jumps if you were afraight of doing it. Only one star less because of the high Price.

Great challenging day!
I was so worried about this adventure, in my profession I only see risk in doing this sort of thing. Staff were great though, were very safe but also made it fun. Started with some great conversation in the bus on the way to location. Great little hike up to starting plunge. My best part was looking back on what we had done while floating on our backs down the river. I wish I could go through with my proper camera for the scenery that we travelled through on the day.

It was a fantastic day of climbing. Definitely recommend the whole day as it goes very quickly. So much fun to have.
