Doubtful Sound Day Cruise Ex Te Anau or Manapouri with Go Orange!

Sweeten your day with a Go Orange Doubtful Sound Day Cruise!

With a maximum capacity of just 45 people, Go Orange is the only small boat experience in this remote wilderness area.

Begin your Adventure with a 30km cruise across beautiful Lake Manapouri, the 2nd deepest lake in NZ, before crossing the Southern Alps via the spectacular 22km drive over the Wilmot Pass Road into Deep Cove, Doubtful Sound, stopping at all our favourite photo stops along the way.

Onboard our well-appointed vessel the Tasman Explorer spend the next 3hrs leisurely exploring the waterways of Doubtful Sound. The isolation of this place makes the fiord a very unique place few people get to experience. With small group sizes there is plenty of viewing space to take in the rugged mountains, dense sub-tropical rain forests , waterfalls, glacier-shaped valleys and the pristine waterways of Fiordland. Wildlife, such as penguins, dolphins, seals & sea birds, while not guaranteed, are often sighted during the cruise and offer privileged photo opportunities.

    Superb day trip

Best tour I did in the South Island. Crossing Lake Manapouri was magical - and Doubtful Sound is so peaceful and beautiful

Thanks for sharing the lovely photos of the sound Karen! Doubtful Sound is an unmissable trip if you're visiting fiordland. The journey across lake Manapouri is an experience in itself and Doubtful Sound is certainly valued for its peaceful surroundings :)

    WORTH THE EXTRA

Cold wet day. Could not have been better excccept maybe a little warmer. The staff were great. DAn and Sara were informative, friendly and helpful. Waterfalls were everywhere. Dolphins came, put on a wonderful show. We were lucky and were able to go close to the Tasman Sea.

Journey to the world of 50 shades of grey

It was raining all time during our cruise 3 March 2018. So it was journey to the world of 50 shades of grey and 1000 waterfalls! We have not seen anything like on the advertising photo, no dolphins nor seals... But lots of waterfalls! But I cannot complain, we know it is sort of gambling booking trips like that. Wish the crew would stop the engine or some point, so we could hear the sound nature (oops, sound of rain:) Boat was comfortable, and lunch was good.
