Electric scooters and skateboards are the latest trend to hit the adventure capital of New Zealand and you can book which ever ride you prefer.

Feel free to explore or choose to follow the recommended route along the track around the Gardens, onto the Frankton trail, all the way around the Frankton Arm of Lake Wakatipu.

On your journey you will view the beautiful gardens, lakefront scenery and breathtaking views of the mountains on your way to the Hilton Hotel and restaurant complex.

From here you can take the complimentary water taxi back to home base. The water taxis depart from the Hilton every two hours – so once you reach the Hilton, simply jump on the water taxi to have you back right on time! You will also enjoy the epic views from the water.

Electric scooters: The electric scooters are very easy to use and no experience is required. Simply jump on and explore at your leisure. Average speed is around 28km/h and it is the perfect stress free way to explore while still feeling the wind through your hair.

Electric skateboards: The electric skateboards are a bit faster reaching speeds of up to 35km/h and harder to master however you can attach a handlebar which turn them into a scooterboard should you prefer to have something to hold onto for added stability.

Restrictions

  • Riders should be under 95 kg. No refund will be given to pre-booked customers above this weight limit.

    Anyone who is under 18 years of age will need the written consent of a parent or guardian.

    Participants must be 15 years of age or older.

  • Not recommended for participants with back problems, heart complaints or other serious medical conditions.
