The helicopter flight, land on the glacier, and return helicopter flight were absolutely astounding and I can't rate them highly enough. The pilot was lovely. It was great to be able to do this for a reduced cost compared to usual. Before the flight was much less good. You are told to arrive an hour before the flight. 10mins before this (so we'd already arrived), our flight was delayed by another hour, so we had 2hours to wait. Also informed it would be helicopter only as too windy for the plane. I felt we had essentially paid extra for the experience to have both vehicles, so understand the safety concerns but felt short-changed, as no other info was given about this. Eventually arrived 30mins before our new time as advised, but had to wait about 50mins before flying. Essentially lost the whole morning to sitting waiting for the flight to happen with minimal information. Basically, I would book your trip knowing that the time and nature of it could be changed at very short notice.
Absolutely amazing trip with our very knowledgeable and witty pilot Andrew. A stunning time on the glacier it was so picture perfect. Thank you to all the team who made this trip so memorable. So nice to meet Rachel good luck to you both. A must to do for every New Zealander.
It was very disappointing experience. Ive done heli tour before in NZ and aware it depends on weather condition. However I never thought it can be used as dodgy excuse. You better keep that in mind.
Sorry to read this, and we only operate if it safe to do so. We hope to see you again in the future. Thank you

Good fun
Fly up to the Tasman glacier in a ski-plane & return in a helicopter. We had a snowball fight but no-one else wanted to join in. The top of Mount Cook was in cloud but we got good views of the other mountains. Note that its a flight to the glacier, not round Mount Cook.
