The ride is at a relaxed, walking pace and is the perfect introduction to horse riding for beginners and even kids.

Restrictions

  • Minimum ages 5 years and older.

    A strict rider weight limit of 95kg/210lbs/15st applies and we reserve the right to weigh all customers on the day.

    Transport from Queenstown:

    Can be added on for $20 per person as you proceed through the checkout. Main departure point is from the Queenstown Information Centre, corner Camp & Shotover Streets.

    Depart Queenstown for Glenorchy: 8:00am and 12:00

    Treks depart Glenorchy stables:

    9am, 10.15am, 1pm and 2.15pm all year round. Self-drive to Dart Stables, check-in is Dart River Adventures Building, 45 Mull Street, Glenorchy.

    Duration: 1 Hour on horse. Allow 2 hours from Glenorchy. Allow 5.5 hours when using Dart Stables transport from Queenstown.
