Jacks Bar & Restaurant takes its name from Jack Tewa (Maori Jack) - local legend and finder of gold. Credited as the first man to find gold in the Arrow River, Jack was awarded a medal from the British Humane Society for saving the life of a European settler in an outstanding tale of bravery.

superb food and service
Great spot for informal cuisine presented with excellent service and in a good location near the Arrowtown "strip".
