Experience the tranquility of Lake Wakatipu in the glow of soft morning light as the coach begins its journey south along the shores of the lake and then through the mountains towards Te Anau. A stop in Te Anau for 30 minutes at about 8:15am is a perfect time to grab some breakfast and a nice cup of hot coffee.
The journey then continues towards Milford Sound, initially along the shores of Lake Te Anau and then into the magnificence of Fiordland National Park where you will be treated to splendid vistas at every turn. The coach will stop at a number of locations both on the way and way out for those memorable photos and at a couple of locations where you can stretch your legs on short nature walks.
At Milford Sound you will join a cruise aboard our modern catamaran, Maiden of Milford, for a cruise the length of Milford Sound to the Tasman Sea and back. During the cruise you will see mountains with sheer cliff faces rising from the depth below, waterfalls cascading from hanging valleys and seals lounging on rocks from right alongside the boat.
For your convenience the Maiden of Milford is equipped with a Pita Pit serving “made to order” tasty pita wraps if you are hungry, as well as a selection of Gourmet Pies, snacks and drinks.
