Great experience

The guide provided a really good tour and knows a lot about the books, films and background stories. I really enjoyed the tour but wrap up warm when it's cold outside: The guide has a lot to share with you at each location!

Fantastic lotr tour!

If you are a big fan of the books, movies or both this tour is great to do. Bob is very knowledgeable and will ensure you have a great time visiting the film locations. Just be aware there is nothing remaining from the filming at these locations so you do need to use your imagination in some instances. Bob also carries an IPad to show you the clips on location which was handy.

Glad I didn't pay full price

Whilst the trip was not all bad I would have been very disappointed if I had to pay the full price of $170 for this trip. There were 8 people on the trip and I assumed the other six people on the trip paid the full price. We only paid the bookme price of $70 each. All we did on the trip was go to one end of the Arrowtown river, driven to the other end of the river and then driven up to a lookout where we could see the Gibbston Winery and the AJ Hackett Bungy. The guide provided a lot of information on the Lord of the Rings from filming, cast and history/background of the writer and director. All of which I can only assume was correct and not just made up.

Awesome Trip!

This tour was fantastic! The guide is just so passionate that even if you didn't watch the movies or red the books, you can't not get into it! He knows the subject so well you can ask him as much questions as you can, he will be glad to answer :) It was a really fun moment! At the end of the trip you also have the opportunity to play with copycat weapons of the movie, which was an awesome experience! Just do it! ;)
