was great fun, amazing stops. Only issue was the amount of people cramped in the boat. Felt like I was a sardine
We all had a great time. The driver was exceptional both his driving, the commentary with his wealth of knowledge and humour. Enjoyed the picnic lunch and the crew on the cruise. All made this trip an experience of a life time to a most beautiful place one will ever see. Thankyou Southern Discoveries
This was our second time to Milford Sound. Coach journey was intelligent choice as roads are extremely winding and dangerous. Very scenic journey if no rain. Our bus driver was a local. He was knowledgeable but speaks less. The boat was very large and modern. Food was very good (they said everything is halal when pork was also served !!). Not many water falls noted due to summer and no rain. Only thing I can ask to improve- bus becomes very hot due to glass roof (didn't see any need for glass roof!); some window curtain may help. It was a long day -almost 14 hours.
Had a great time. Service was professional for the whole day.

Great Day Trip
It is just a typical day trip but that doesn’t mean that the tour is bad as you visit one of the most beautiful places in the world. The guide gives you a bunch of info about Queenstown so as Milford Sound while you’re on the way. He drops you off several times at scenic spots and gives enough time to enjoy the view. Once you get to the sound, you get 2 hours to cruise on the water and the view is simply unbelievable. You can enjoy the view on the deck of the ferry while having your picnic lunch. The guide also organizes the flight tour that goes back to Queenstown from the sound. Overall it was a great journey even though you have long hours on a bus. Must do if you’re in Queenstown.
