On arrival in Milford Sound you will set off onboard a comfortable cruise vessel to begin an up-close exploration of the fiord from sea level.
Jagged cliffs, and hanging rainforest rises sharply up to snowy peaks hundreds of meters above you.

Vol et croisière à Milford Sound ont été reportés 4 fois et je suis repartie sans avoir pu voir Milford Sound.Sans doute que Air Wakatipu ne veut pas prendre de risques en cas de météo incertaine, mais se préparer chaque jour pour un vol finalement annulé, quelle déception !!! Par contre, le remboursement pour annulation de la part du prestataire a été immédiat.

Hi Claude, Thanks for your review. I am very sorry that your flight was postponed 4 times and cancelled at the end due weather. We totally understand you were hugely disappointed that you couldn't fly to Milford Sound. However the safety is the first priority for us, and unfortunately we cannot fly if the weather is not good enough to operate safely. Hope you still had a nice time with your family in Queenstown. Une experience inoubliable
Je recommande à tout le monde d'opter pour le fly Cruise and fly. C'est une expérience unique des plus extraordinaire de la Nouvelle Zelande. De très belles prestations avec un shuttle de l'hôtel à l'aérodrome puis les explications du pilote. De plus il se charge de récupérer votre pass pour le bateau et le déjeuner est offert. La balade en bateau est sympa mais une fois qu'on a vécu l'expérience en avion plus rien n'est aussi beau que la vue de là haut ! Et le retour en avion est top. Certes le bus est moins cher mais le confort de l'avion est incomparable

An Amazing Day
This is a very special way to get to experience the spectacular Milford Sound . Andrew our captain was very informative and we enjoyed amazing views high up within the mountains themselves as we flew before landing in Milford Sound for our Cruise which did not disappoint .Andrew took us on a different route homeward bound for more jaw dropping sights. Everything ran very smoothly and it was truly a day to remember!

Amazing experience, 5 stars, a 10 star experience.
Maybe it was the blue skies and those perfectly placed clouds brushing the mountaintops, but I wasn’t prepared for just how breathtaking this trip would be. The views on takeoff and landing—both ways—were unreal, and the cruise through Milford Sound just sealed it. Photos can’t capture the scale here: the sheer height of the surrounding peaks, the snow-capped ridges, the waterfalls that seem to fall forever. It’s one of those “you have to see it yourself” experiences. If you can swing it, take the plane in and out. The views are extraordinary, and our pilot was fantastic—smooth, confident, and brought us right up close to the mountains. Absolutely unforgettable. Wow.
