Notes

Car parking in Milford Sound is $10 per hour, if parking in the main car park, please allow 10-12 minutes to walk to the terminal. There is free parking in Deepwater Basin, please allow 25-30 minutes to walk to the terminal. If you choose to self-drive, we recommend arriving into Milford Sound at least one hour prior to your scheduled cruise departure to allow sufficient time to find a car park and make your way to the Milford Sound Cruise Terminal. For further information about car parking please visit milfordsountourism.nz/parking

Best experience ever

We had an unforgettable cruise with Southern Discoveries through the breathtaking Milford Sound. Lucky to have perfect weather, we were treated to stunning views of towering peaks, lush cliffs, and incredible waterfalls. The scenery was truly out of this world—one of the most beautiful places on earth. The crew was friendly and knowledgeable, and getting up close to the waterfalls was a definite highlight. Highly recommend this magical experience!

Nice Winter Trip with Milford Sound Nature Cruise

I went to Milford Sound with Milford Sound Nature Cruise. It was winter. So most of the waterfalls didn’t have much water. But the views were still beautiful with the mountains and calm water. The cruise was relaxing and the boat was clean and comfortable. I didn’t see any seals or dolphins but it was still a nice trip. The staff were friendly and shared some good information about the area. Even in winter, it was a good experience. I’d recommend it if you want to enjoy the nature and peaceful feeling of Milford Sound.

Milfordsound Nature Cruise

The cruise was good but the root it followed was totally in middle of the ocean. Because of that we couldn’t witness any waterfalls close by.
