Dont miss this trip

A great day out to see stunning scenery and enjoy a boat trip around Milford sound. Very comfortable coach and first rate boat. In particular our driver was superb providing an excellent commentary on the way down to Milford sound.

Long day but great experience

There was certainly nothing ‘premium’ about the coach. Not much commentary, and no form of entertainment (music or movie) to make the time pass on the trip home (bearing in mind that the round trip is approx 13hours). The Gem is a great vessel! Very new and modern, and not crowded at all. There was plenty of comfortable seating and the outdoor areas had a great view! The ‘high tea’ consisted of a snack box with a sandwich, scone and cookie. There’s numerous companies to choose from. The Gem itself is terrific compared to the other larger boats out there. But if you can afford it I’d recommend a flight back so you don’t have to sit on an uncomfortable coach for 5 hours each way.

I would give 10 stars if I could.

Absolutely fantastic experience. Firstly, our driver George was just lovely. He was knowledgable and made multiple stops for us to take photos and share interesting facts about places we went and passed. The glassroof was more than I expected. It is fantastic and provides extra enjoyments to the ride. I highly recommend getting on one if you can. Milford Sound was AWESOME! It's beautiful and the crew on the cruise was fun and did their best to make sure we all had a great time. We had chance to see and get soaked by the waterfall(s) and it was so much fun! Jucy staffs are very professional and attentive and I highly recommend them to anyone who is considering to visit Milford Sound.

Nightmare

Our experience was horrible. 1. We were staying at Frankton Road and happened to board the coach as the last couple. The seating arrangement was 2x2 with only the last row having 6 seats. We had to squeeze ourselves in the last row middle two seats. And it was really really uncomfortable for anyone to having to seat through those seats for the whole day. I don’t get the point that after having spent the same amount as others, why did we have to go through this? Only because we were last to board the coach? We it our fault? 2. The coach driver was really rude and treated us like stray dogs. We were racially abused and the person was constantly throwing tantrums at us. Shocking to say the least.
