Explore the Rees Valley on foot and afloat!

A packraft is a one-man inflatable boat that fits into a backpack and is light enough to be carried on hikes into the back country. These amazing little boats allow you to hike deep into the wilderness, then take your adventure downstream.

A day trip allows you to get acquainted with the innovation of the packraft, while utilising the raft to its full potential amongst stunning New Zealand nature backdrops. Each crystal river is selected specifically for the group’s ability.

You’ll hike through amazing remote areas of New Zealand back country until you reach your river starting point. Here you’ll be shown how to set up your raft and tutored on its use. After a delicious lunch in breath-taking wild scenery you’ll make your way down river. You can take a relaxing paddle, or find some rapids for a little adventure - the day is yours.

Very enjoyable activity - really good

This trip was really good, had lots of fun, the guide has a great personality and makes you feel confortable regardless of the skills level in packrafting. Packrafting is more fun than normal rafting in my opinion as you are the one controlling your own raft. Loved every minute of my packrafting experience.
