Our small boutique tour takes you away from the crowds and off the beaten track, getting you up close and personal to New Zealand’s breathtaking southern beauty.
We begin our tour with the stunning Bob’s Cove Nature Walk. This gorgeous track is home to many lush native vegetation and boasts a fantastic backdrop of the Remarkables Mountain. Keep your eyes peeled for native bird life along the way!
Next you’ll enjoy a scenic drive to the western end of Lake Wakatipu where you’ll have time to soak in the breathtaking views of Mt Aspiring National Park, surrounded by snow capped peaks.
We then venture into the Paradise Valley past Diamond Lake, and the Arcadia homestead to the world-famous Dart River valley, home to the LOTR & Hobbit movie locations!
After a picnic lunch we make our way to the Routeburn Track.
This fantastic walk is the epitome of New Zealand’s Natural beauty including; river valleys, waterfalls, mountains views and birdlife with amazing photography opportunities at every turn.
The trail is well formed and the altitude and alpine conditions will determine the distance and time walked. This may be up to 2.5km and 1- 1.5 hours.
We cater to all levels of fitness and there will be no more than 10 people per group.
Itinerary for the day:
• 9 am pick up from accommodation Queenstown
• Bob’s Cove Nature walk
• Photo stop Bennett’s Bluff
• Glenorchy village, jetty walk, refreshments.
• Paradise Valley sights, Arcadia, LOTR
• Picnic lunch stop
• Routeburn Shelter start of trail
• 2.5 hours walking total depending on enthusiasm
• Drop of Queenstown 4.30- 5pm
