What an incredible trip. Amazing scenery, wildlife and a great driver, Brian. Very easy to book through bookme and confirmation came from Real Journeys very quickly. From start to finish everything ran very smoothly. I understand it’s tough for operators at the moment, but what an incredible opportunity for New Zealanders to get out and see NZ without the hoards of tourists. We went pretty much the whole journey with very little traffic and had the Milford Sound cruise limited to a couple of boats. Us and one other. Saw Kea on the way in and on the Sound there were dolphins and seals. The weather was great - misty clouds adding to the atmosphere And the water calm. Lots of waterfalls after all the rain the previous week. Just breath taking. You must do this trip if you can.

Magnificent Milford Sound

A fabulous day out. I was lucky to get an amazing driver, Gill who was patient, highly knowledgeable and professional. Even though the weather had been poor a couple of days before I travelled, the sun came out, and it was truly a spectacular weather day. The scenery is breathtaking. The bus was modern, had air-conditioning and wall-to-ceiling windows. It's a long day, so be prepared to sit on a coach for a few hours; the seats recline too. A big shout out to Gill who elevated the tour to new heights.

A long but incredible day

An amazing day from start to finish. We travelled with two children, aged 4 and 7, and I'll be honest, it was a very very long day for them. They were knackered from the early start and the cruise wasn't enough to capture their attention for long, plus sitting still for hours is always a struggle. From an adults point of view though, it was amazing! Brian our driver was so knowledgeable about literally everything in the area and is clearly very passionate about what he does. He told stories and retold Maori legends about the lakes etc, was great. We stopped in a lot of places for pictures and then the sound itself was incredible... Nothing compares! Recommend highly but maybe not with small kids.
