Your afternoon begins with a magical cruise across Lake Wakatipu aboard the TSS Earnslaw, a vintage steamship launched in 1912 with a rich in local pioneering history.
Once you arrive at Walter Peak High Country Farm on the opposite side of the lake, it is time to disembark and head towards the tranquil Colonel’s Homestead Restaurant situated in beautiful gardens.
The menu includes an extensive range of local and New Zealand produce, including succulent meats cooked on the rotisserie, freshly caught and locally sourced fish dishes, paired with a delicious range of vegetables and salads. Then finish with your dining experience with tantalising desserts, cheeses and freshly brewed tea and coffee.
Following lunch, guests have the opportunity to gain insight into high country life with an entertaining and informative farm demonstration, or explore the beautiful lakeside gardens.
Your experience concludes with a 45 minute return journey on the TSS Earnslaw back to the original start point in Queenstown centre.

Steamboat to the Farm & BBQ lunch
Enjoyed journey on the wonderful steamboat. Amazing food for lunch - one of the best menu's ever. Booked the trip through Bookme.com - not a good experience. The distinction between the steamboat travel and moterised vessel is not clear. An upgrade on their website is a must.
