Take a spectacular journey into Milford by luxury coach before exploring the stunning Milford Sound by cruise!
Prepare to soak up the beauty and grandeur of what has been called the "eighth wonder of the world" with RealNZ.
Departing from either Queenstown on-board a luxury coach, sit back, relax and take in the stunning location on one of the most scenic drives in New Zealand along Milford Road, while enjoying on-board commentary and various photo stops along the way.
Upon reaching Milford, you'll take a relaxing cruise on board the spacious vessel which boasts fantastic outdoor decks and indoor lounges specifically designed to optimise your viewing experience.
To ensure you experience the very best of Milford Sound on the day, your knowledgeable skipper has planned each trip based on the weather and recent wildlife sightings. As we cruise the full length of the Fiord you'll witness the majestic beauty of Milford first hand while we cruise right up close to grand waterfalls and sheer rock faces, and discover local wildlife such as dolphins, seals and, in season, the rare Fiordland crested penguins.
Enjoy the relaxing scenic journey back on the coach to your accommodation.
Snacks and drinks are available to purchase during your cruise (cash only) or you are welcome to bring a picnic along to enjoy.
The coach was comfortable and commentary onboard was very interesting. On the boat, the views were absolutely stunning. Would highly recommend.
Great day out starting with the friendly Brian our coach driver who shared banter and interesting facts on our journey to the sound. The cruise was also fun and really enjoyed the up close and personal with the waterfalls. Saw some cute fur seals sunning themselves on a rock - so cute. Highly recommend.
Wasn’t happy with real Nz service. Due to family sickness I have to rent car in the te anunu and drive my shelf to Milford sound and then back and return the car in the te anunu so I called to real nz and ask them if bus can pick up from the lakefront lodge which is just 400 m distance. I had 4 bags and elder parents with me. And my pick point was on the road the main road towards the Queenstown as well so I wasn’t asking much. But real nz team declined they told me I have to be at lakefront cafe and us will not wait for us 5 mins . We can see the bus just front of us so I have no choice My whole family have to run run to catch the bus. After my family running like gold medal in the olympic we catche bus while other people was leaving the bus so means we reach to bus before 1 minute , over there my mom want to use the washroom so she went to real nz i centre , what’s I see which I never ever see in my life , RealNZ I center toilet only u can use it if you have coin , really ! real nz team you want allowed to people to use the toilet in the humanitarian grounds. And I asked the driver can I please borrow real nz coin so mom can use the toilet but he he says she can’t go anymore because he want to leave now . All this happened in 5 minutes time without a single seconds late from my family side neither the whole bus was have to wait for us for single seconds still he didn’t allowed my to go and use the wash room . Rally are you can’t afford 2 mins ??? Or driving 400 m to our picking point ??? For sure Me and my family and friends will never ever use real nz service in future life.
Great day, Brian was a great driver. Excellent value.

Incredible!
What an incredible trip. Amazing scenery, wildlife and a great driver, Brian. Very easy to book through bookme and confirmation came from Real Journeys very quickly. From start to finish everything ran very smoothly. I understand it’s tough for operators at the moment, but what an incredible opportunity for New Zealanders to get out and see NZ without the hoards of tourists. We went pretty much the whole journey with very little traffic and had the Milford Sound cruise limited to a couple of boats. Us and one other. Saw Kea on the way in and on the Sound there were dolphins and seals. The weather was great - misty clouds adding to the atmosphere And the water calm. Lots of waterfalls after all the rain the previous week. Just breath taking. You must do this trip if you can.
