The Rock Bottom Tour brings you Queenstown adrenalin, Dunedin heritage and native wildlife in the outstanding beauty of the Caitlins. See New Zealand Sea Lions, Yellow Eyed Penguins, waterfalls, a fossil forest and Milford Sound in all its breath taking glory.

You’ll be guided by a friendly expert in all things Kiwi, with informative and entertaining commentary all the way as you relax on board. The tour is yours to make your own - because they are regularly looping these beautiful parts of New Zealand you are free to stop in any location for a few days and be collected on the next round.

Bottom Bus Itinerary

Day 1: Queenstown to Dunedin

We kick it all off in Queenstown at 10.30am. Following the mighty Clutha River through Central Otago’s orchard and ever-growing wine area, you’ll see various landmarks before arriving into NZ’s most vibrant student town - Dunedin approx 4.30pm. We show you around the city, before heading to Baldwin Street (world’s steepest street), for a quick sprint to the top.

Day 2: Dunedin to Invercargill, The Catlins

Departing Dunedin at 8.30am, head off in the direction of Antarctica! Today’s stops include Nugget Point, Surat or Cannibal Bay, lunch stop in Owaka (extra cost), then off to the Caitlins and Curio Bay before stopping in Invercargill for the evening. Day 2 of the tour is full of native New Zealand wildlife, with a walk on the beach to view Sea Lions!

Day 3: Invercargill to Queenstown

We get rolling about 8:00 am and head north through Winton, Southlands farming capital to Five Rivers, heart of the Southland plains before returning to Queenstown.
