Enjoy the rich, natural diversity and breathtaking scenery of New Zealand’s Great Walk, the Routeburn Track. Hike beneath the canopy of old growth rainforest, while surrounded by crystal clear rivers, soaring mountain peaks, and beautiful birdsong, as you explore the region’s unique wilderness.

Your private guided adventure starts from Queenstown with a scenic drive along the shores of Lake Wakatipu to the Routeburn Track. From here, you will begin a 2-3 hour hike that climbs steadily through the cool undergrowth to an alpine glade at Flats Hut. En route, there will be plenty of time to stop and savour your surroundings: beautiful waterfalls, verdant vegetation, and some of the region’s rarest birdlife. Once at Flats Hut, reward yourself with an open-air lunch as you absorb panoramic vistas of New Zealand’s snow-capped Southern Alps. Your return 1-2 hour journey is all downhill to the Routeburn Shelter, giving you a chance to stretch out the legs and once again enjoy the vibrant forest, with photographic opportunities at every turn.

On this guided hike, you will discover the efforts being made to conserve New Zealand's natural heritage. You will learn about the flora, fauna, geography, and history of the region, while witnessing some of New Zealand’s most spectacular landscapes.
