Riding an eco-friendly Segway is quite a unique experience. Segway Smart Motion technology keeps you balanced and in control.

To propel the vehicle forwards, you simply lean forwards.

To stop, just put your weight back. This sensation, while a little weird at first, is a thrill that everyone really enjoys.

A quick training session gets you used to the unique motion of the Segway.

Then take in the beautiful scenic views around Queenstown Bay while riding on this fascinating transporter. It's an hour on hands-on fun!

Meeting point: The One Mile Powerhouse Car Park
near 130 Lake Esplanade. 1km from town
at the end of Lake Esplanade take the 3rd exit off the roundabout. Go up the dirt road into car park to meet your guide who will be there 5 minutes before your booking time. In google maps enter 'One Mile Piwerhouse'.

Recommended for ages 10+, Recommended weight range 35-118kgs.

Arrival: Please arrive by your booking time. Your guide will be there 5 minutes before your booking time.
Pick-up/ Departure:The pick-up/departure location is a 1min drive or 10min walk from town. At the end of Lake Esplanade, you come to a roundabout with 3 major exits and a dirt road exit. The dirt road exit has a sign to indicate the One Mile Powerhouse. Go up the road into the car park area to meet your guide. In Google maps enter; Ben Lomond Track Trailhead.
Segway on Q operates in most weather conditions.

Nov 2025 - unforgetable experience

I forgot the instructor's name. I believe it was David. Regardless. He was awesome!!!! I went with my mum. However, with his patience and support, everything went as planned - plenty of joy and a fantastic experience. So, I would recommend Q riding as an enjoyable activity and all the best for the instruction. Pablo

Great way to see Queenstown

A group of 5 of us went on a Segway tour of Queenstown and around the lake. It was a fun experience and we saw parts of Queenstown that we hadn't seen yet. I would highly recommend doing this. Our guide was friendly and tailored our tour to suit us.
