The clear, unpolluted skies of Queenstown are a world class setting for your stargazing experience.
Perched high above Queenstown and surrounded by snow-capped mountains, it’s the perfect location to access a 'hidden world' not seen by the naked eye, and impossible to see from many other locations around the globe.
The Stargazing Plus tour takes guests to a specially-constructed platform high above the Skyline complex, allowing for an unbelievably clear view of the night sky. High powered telescopes reveal stunning sights not visible to the naked eye.
Not only will you get to see our stunning gas giant Jupiter, you will also gaze upon the jewel of our solar system, Saturn.
Saturn is a true sight to see through our high powered telescope, guests will get to experience the beauty of Saturn and it’s intricate ring system in addition to many of it’s 62 moons.
Tours will run every night, weather dependent and start from 7:30pm this winter season. Allow at least two hours in total and please arrive at the base of the Gondola 30min prior to start time.
A Canada Goose jacket will be provided for the duration of the tour. You are advised to wear warm comfortable walking shoes and bring gloves and a hat to stay cosy.

Very enjoyable and informative!
We were late on the day of our booking and they graciously re-scheduled us without any fuss. The day we were rescheduled to was a bit cloudy, but they made every effort to continue the tour as they were able and it turned out to be great. Gemma was very informative and educational and the stars were so bright and visible! Telescope views of the stars and planets were fantastic. Definitely wear some extra layers in the winter even with the provided Canada Goose as it can get chilly. Would do again!

Super, amazing experience
See planets and stars in deep space through high powered telescopes. Our guide Ashley was fun and knowledgeable. Warm coats provided. Shooting stars (we saw 7) and satellites. Really enjoyed the whole experience. Highly recommended. Great value through Bookme. Thanks Bookme

Star Gazing Plus
Our guide Angelique was awesome- super friendly and full of knowledge. She showed many wonderful sights up close in the fantastic huge telescopes- we sat back and stared up to the night sky as she pointed out so many wonderful things. Even though it was cold, it was a memorable hour and a half experience that we will share with our friends.
