Lovely food and breathtaking views

Had a lovely time on cruise, food was excellent and breathtaking views. Only complaint is that when we arrived at Walter Peak for the BBQ lunch the receptionist was a bit rude when I asked if we could sit outside because it was such a lovely sunny day which we don’t had much of. Her response was do what ever you want no one is listening anyway. But not one’s was there an announcement made of what the rules are for sitting outside.

Steam Ship Experience with a Fabulous BBQ Lunch

Our trip to Milford Sound had been postponed due to adverse weather, so we book the TSS Earnslaw & Walters Peak Trip as a last-minute alternative. We were not disappointed, the boat trip either way was fun, and the Earnslaw had a well-stocked bar/cafe. The live demonstration of sheep shearing and seeing a sheep dog in action was interesting and educational. The highlight however was the wonderful BBQ lunch at Walters Peak. Well organized, friendly staff and fantastic selection of food available.

Unruly tourists

Excellent hosts and lunch. Farm show was great. The whole experience was spoilt by unruly, rude, loud and ignorant Chinese who shouted, pushed, took every seat on the boat and talked through all announcements and the dog show. Twice my wife was roughly pushed aside. Perhaps guides that can assist them with local culture and manners would help?

Steamboat experience

This was a great day out. The food was world class and very well organised. The sheep shearing and dog display was fantastic and everyone enjoyed it. Also loved the live music aboard the boat. I highly recommend this cruise!
