After booking this restaurant one week in advance for my husbands birthday dinner, my family turned up at 6pm to be informed that the restaurant was closed. We were offered there snack menu in the bar area which consisted of “lamb ragu on toast and chicken panini” as the “mains”. As compensation the restaurant manager suggested a round of drinks. This completely ruined our planned evening as we were unable to book and eat anywhere else due to it being school holidays and exceptionally busy everywhere else. Upon leaving poor reviews of this service the general manager contacts me to offer explanation regarding staff sickness with covid 19, burnout due to executive chef working in excess of 70-80 hours and staff walking out. He also informs me that he has also had to close the restaurant in the preceding weeks at last minute.
Please do not book this restaurant as unreliable with no communication or adequate compensation.
