Aggressive and argumentative staff.
One out of two bikes we hired had issues, we couldn’t get the motor to kick in and so it wasted an hour whilst we came back to get it fixed. They told us they could have come to fix it if we had called them, but we figured that would take more time so decided to get back ourselves. This was apparently our fault then that we had wasted time. At first we were offered a shuttle to Arrowtown by one staff member who was lovely but then the manager came out and was extremely aggressive and refused to do anything. Told us it was our fault it wouldn’t work. During the ride, error messages were thrown up twice while cycling along at 25+km/h, clicky and poorly tuned gear changes, especially mid cassette, bike was crunching and clunking embarrassingly as soon as any real power was applied to the pedals. We are experienced cyclists (tho not with e-bikes) and rather than receiving apologies and solutions explained patiently, two out of three staff members we dealt with were rude and aggressive and told us it was our fault the bike was misbehaving. Queenstown is beautiful, but would never recommend this bike rental place in a million years, use at your own risk.

Hi Jacinta. You were given all of the information needed to get ahold of us if there was any bike related or navigational issues. We provided this information to you in a paper form as well as verbally, a number of times in our detailed briefing before you started your hire. Unfortunately you chose not to use the details we provided you or contact us when you found you were having difficulty with the bike. We try our very best everyday to ensure that our customers get the best out of their experience with us, you seemed intent after trying to get a free shuttle from us to make your experience with us a negative one.

Hi!
I booked an e-bike for 65.9 I showed the reservation to the staff, but he didn't even check it properly. He told me that you booked a mountain bike, and if you want to ride an e-bike, you should pay more. Later, I checked again, it was correct that I reserved an e-bike. I sent them an e-mail. The cost of the mountain bike was 55. The refund was 10. If I didn't check again and didn't send an e-mail, they wouldn't have done anything to me. If you pay more and like to be bothered and stressed, make a reservation here by all means!

Excellent bikes
The e bikes were excellent and nice to ride, meaning that most of the time we did not need to have any power on. Friendly, helpful service too.
