Perhaps you could say we got what we paid for. We opted for Go Orange after a great Milford Sound Coach and Cruise experience and as the Shotover Jet was substantially more. We learnt why they are more. Our friends went with Shotover and said it was the highlight of their trip. Ours with Go Orange was boring. It was our first experience on a jet boat and probably our last now. Yes they go fast but it didn’t feel notably fast. Perhaps because we waterskii back home so are familiar with boats? There wasn’t very many 360 turns at all (5 maybe) despite our group all saying YES when asked if we like them. I also felt like I could have not worn the rain jacket as I was barely wet from it and probably didn’t even need to hold on as we were jammed in like sardines and like I said, not actually that fast. They don’t go up against stuff as often or as much as other companies likely due to the location. I think we went directly at some buoys a few times... how thrilling! The booking process was easy, and the girls at kiosk were friendly.
