elenan said... What a fantastic experience in a majestic place! If you're staying in the area for a few days, and would like to avoid the crowded areas, kayaking Doubtful Sound is a must-do. The sound is a serene, mystical environment, filled with quiet and raw untouched beauty. If you are lucky, you might also encounter some wildlife - we saw deer, bottlenose dolphins and a fur seal. A special thanks to our friendly and engaging, but very professional guide Alex! A guide can make or break an experience, and Alex made ours a very memorable one. Not only he kept us safe, but also entertained by happily sharing his knowledge of the local flora, fauna and Maori folklore. He also took really nice photos of us, and did a great job of keeping participants of various skill levels and adventure ambitions well satisfied. In short, Alex cared, and it showed! Thank you!
