We were booked with 4 others for 8.30am but the clouds were down for 3 days in a row, and we thought we might just get a trip up the valley. But the guy said if we could come back at 1.30 the clouds would have lifted. So we did the Hooker valley walk and came back. He was spot on, and we had an amazing trip . We flew over the red trampers hut near the top, and landed on the Hooker glacier , then a flight to the top of Mount Cook . The helicopter was warm and not cold on the glacier for the short time we were there .11/10 experience .
