Had a terrific experience from start to finish, journeying with Chris and the Milford Sound BBQ Bus. Commentary was lively, and I appreciated the small, intimate group. Food was absolutely delicious and had me going for seconds. The cruise portion was contracted out to another company, so you share it with another group of people (who probably wished they could have a taste of our BBQ, but hands off!). Still, the size of the boat and its passengers was relatively small compared to other cruises, and yet it never felt cramped or overcrowded. It was a lovely and majestic time on the water. The ride back in the afternoon had far less stops than the ride in the morning, but it passed quickly with some videos shown in the bus. We were even treated to a gem of a Kiwi movie called Hunt for the Wilderpeople, and it was so great that I bought when I got back in the US. I highly recommend them to other people visiting Milford Sound from either Queenstown or Te Anau.
