Liz said... We went on a true winter's day. Manapouri was dark and moody but the bus ride over was magical through all the native bush while it snowed. Doubtful sound was outstanding despite or because of the weather and the silence experience was great. The ride back over the pass in much heavier snow was fantastic. Full Mark's to the driver Eve. Might have been a hard year so far but that was an experience we would not have had if it hadn't been for NZers being encouraged to explore their own country
