Our driver Craig was a start though, he was funny, gave us lots of interesting info on the way, handled a whole coach full of tourists with good humour and we felt safe with his driving. The stops on the way to Milford were not too numerous but we did get a good view throughout the drive as we were placed at the front. The weather is always a gamble and this time we weren’t as lucky, but a big bonus of bad weather was snow-covered mountains and innumerable waterfalls. This trip is intense in that you’re on the coach for a total of about 7 hours going to and from Milford Sound from Queenstown so it’s quite tiring but as a first time experience it’s definitely worth it. The cruise around the Sound was great, although we were served lunch just as the boat got going so we were all busy eating and not seeing the sights. But I suppose everything as to be done on a schedule.
