amazing trip
The truck ride was awesome, so was the views from the top of the mountain. Definitively recommend it and try riding in the back of the Ute

Just perfect mix of slow drip adrenalin, incredible views and forest/farm adventure all from the comfortable inside or nail clenching outside in the back complete with gorgeous Jada the dog ...PS vote for outside! Feeling you need adventure with a touch of sophistication that lasts a spectacular 1 1/2 hours this is it .. Superb

Back to basics Rotorua
Great tour with Merv who is super friendly, helpful and keen to share the 'non tourist' perspective. Incredible views from the top of the mountain (virtually next door to the Gondola/luge complex) but such a different dimension of Rotorua. This is not an Adrenalin junkies activity- it is 4WD'ing , away from the crowds, serene, great for bird watching, natural scenery... Really great way to spend an hour or so away from all the other great but hyper activities that you can do in Rotorua For those wanting the 'rush'- try the bike adventure that Merv also does
