Tick off an essential kiwi adventure as you experience typical rural farm life at the beautiful Bullswool Farm Park!
Bullswool Farm is a slice of Kiwi paradise and a must-do for those wanting to experience typical Kiwi rural farm life.
Perfectly positioned just minutes from the famous Karangahake Gorge walking tracks and set amongst wild and beautiful landscapes with stunning views, this unique working farm is the perfect way to disconnect in the peace and tranquility of nature.
You'll get to meet many rare-breed farm animals which include; miniature horses, emus, goats, alpacas, llamas, deer, paint horses, kune-kune pigs, miniature cattle, rabbits, rare breed chickens, ducks, pheasants, coloured sheep and donkeys. All the animals are friendly and well-cared for so you can get right up close and hand-feed them - even the biggest animals!
The kids will absolutely love the play area, with wooden play structures built by award-winning sculptor, Tony Howse. When you feel like exploring, there are many walkways to roam at your leisure offering amazing farmland and bush views, or you can check out the native bird reserve and the Gold & Kauri Museum.
To top it all off, why not bring lunch and enjoy it at one of the several picnic areas? There really is something for everyone!
This is a wonderful place for families. I took my Grandchildren and we had the whole day feeding animals, playing in the playground. We had a picnic and went for the bush walk which they really enjoyed. I highly recommend. Gayle Stokes
We all thoroughly enjoyed our day at Bullswool farm, despite the bad weather! Our little granddaughters loved being able to get so close to the animals and feed them. The play areas and equipment were excellent too. Would thoroughly recommend a visit!
Awake day
My friends have recommended Bullswool for years but I’ve always shrugged it off because my children’s Grandfather has a farm with lots of animals etc so I didn’t think we needed to pay for a farm experience. 3 adults and 2 kids aged 5 and 8 had the best time at Bullswool Farm Park. We were lucky to have amazing weather which made our first time even better. We spent about 3 hours exploring the farm, feeding all the animals, experimenting with all the neat kids activities the farm has. My kids enjoyed the museum and learning about shearing sheep etc. they loved the flying kiwi car and testing the top dressing plane and the bike tracks. My kids thought the farm was really cool and the adults enjoyed connecting with all the animals on the farm. We were too tired and hot to do the walking track afterwards but next time we will. If I lived in NZ I’d be taking my kids there all the time. Everything was great. Friendly informative staff. Easy instructions Good value even the normal rate. Great views. Happy animals. Fun activities for kids. Take a picnic Very tiny suggestion. Not that it affected our time but the helmets for the bikes need to be fixed/replaced. Well done Bullswool Farm Park

Had a lovely dayout.
What a lovely farm for the whole family, not just for primary aged children, but also for teenagers and adults. Not much animals in the farm to hold and pet, but it was still a great experience.
