Explore the Māori Rock Carvings, one of the most extraordinary contemporary carvings in the world. Only view-able from the water, the likeness of Ngātoroirangi towers 14-meters above Lake Taupō.

Sunset cruise
Thank you for a wonderful evening! I had a fantastic time—the hosts were amazing. We enjoyed the carvings, swimming in the lake, sailing, and some great wine. It was truly a magical experience. I highly recommend visiting at sunset!

Awesome trip
Even though we missed out on the Maori carvings due to high swells the trip was great and worth while.

Maori Rock Carving - Classical Sail
We had a great time on the sailing trip. Aaron & Steph were very knowledgeable, sharing information on the lake and carvings themselves. There was no wind so we didn’t get the full sailing experience but the sunset came through in the end and it was beautiful. A lovely relaxing couple of hours.
