Highly recommend booking a visit to Orakei Korako. The short ferry ride across the Waikato River was just the precursor to an amazing morning, walking through the stunning silica terraces. Lots of steps along the way but well worth it, as the incredible views kept appearing around every corner. Bubbling mud pools and a wonderful cave too. This a magical and very special experience which I shall remember for a very long time. The cafe too was a real treat after our adventure - lots of lovely treats and such friendly staff.
But not as good as Waimango
Good experience. Very friendly and a great day out. Well worth it
Beautiful place to visit. The staff are pleasant. If it were a bit cheaper, even more people would definitely visit.

our Orakei Koraka visit.
We very much enjoyed our day visiting Orakei Korako. Although it was rather drizzly it didn't spoil our enjoyment of the day.
