Your tour will begin at your Auckland CBD accommodation or cruise ship port and head off through the beautiful Waikato countryside, your friendly local tour guide will be on-site to meet you and guide you around the 12-acre movie set.
Experience the wonder of Middle Earth, visit the Hobbit holes, the Mill and have a complimentary drink in the famous Green Dragon Inn with the spectacular Kaimai ranges in the background.
Our knowledgable guides will share with you some of the intricate details of the set and explain how the films were created.
Bottled water and a morning tea snack are provided.
Lunch is a delicious hobbit themed buffet, not included in tour price.
Relax on the way back to Auckland where we will drop you off to your CBD accommodation or cruise ship port.

Went the extra mile
We werent supposed to be able to take the tour because of schedule conflict. However, Kim and her agency really went the extra mile to find a Hobitton tour that would fit our schedule. Given we were on a 1 day layover, she even picked us up from the airport for the tour and went back to drop us to the airport. As for the tour, it was such an amazing experience! It felt like we were transferred to another world! A must do when in Auckland!

Brilliant tour
We booked this tour through bookme and it was a company called city of sails. Their follow up after the booking was great and we could not have had better service from Paul on the day. Highly recommend their service
