Tarawera Falls

We were picked up by our guide Geoff who had an amazing knowledge and history of both Rotorua and surrounding districts .It was great to be with someone who is so passionate about the area and he has great values re the entire planet. Driving through the forrest on the way to the falls, he was able to advise on all the workings and what was involved. When we finally reached our destination, we had a short walk to the falls beside a beautiful pristine stream , the falls were amazing, well worth the trip. It was great to spend time with someone who is so inspired, we would certainly recommend taking a trip with Geoff anytime. Sandra + Mike

Worth it when you get there

The falls themselves are quite magnificent and worth the long drive to get there. The fact that it was raining hard made the walk in quite treacherous and older people may have some difficulty with both the distance to be travelled and the often uneven footing. As were were the only passengers that day we had the guide to ourselves and his commentary was both informative and amusing.

Thank you for your kind words. Rainy weather does make the bush walk a little slippery. . Noted

Tarawera Falls

I was lucky enough to go on a private tour with Geoff and it was a very pleasant time, he had a lot to tell about the surrounding areas we passed on our way to the Tarawera Falls, which made up for the quite long distance you have to cover to get there. As soon as we got there I explored the hiking trail on my own and while the falls were a great sight, I was just as amazed by the way itself with some of the clearest water I've seen in my life and beautiful NZ-style forest. I hope you can keep on offering these tours in the future, it's a really special place which should be enjoyed by many more people to come!
